Bath Essentials

Theres no better way to relax than to take a warm bath, Its calming and soothing and its an instant pick me up. I like to add a subtle amount of bubbles to my bath using the Kind Nature Bath Soak its nourished with amber and pink pepper and its free from sulphates, parabens and other chemicals that can sometimes irritate the skin! I recently tried a new body scrub from S.W Basics of Brooklyn and this little guy is made up of three simple ingredients I usually alternate with a few other scrubs but this one is the one thats always near reach, it smells so good you might be tempted to taste it not that I have... Rituals Happy Buddha shower foam is a great alternative to traditional shower gels this foams so much that a bit goes a long way, its infused with sweet orange and cedar which is the perfect scent for fall and winter but I keep this in my shower all year around! Lastly the Sea Goddess nourishing bath is a interesting one, I had never seen or tried anything like this before theres a cloth bag that you fill 3/4 full and tie it close and you run a hot bath, you let the bag steep as the tub fills, kind of like when making tea and I sure do love tea! You soak in this for about twenty minutes and you will feel the little mineral salts work and you will feel instantly relaxed, I only use this every once in a while because its pretty pricey. I also like to decorate around the bath with pretty flowers which makes taking a bath so much more dreamy, What are your favourite bath essentials?

Exfoliant Mask by Birchrose + co

When I received this Exfoliant Mask by Birchrose and co in my June Art of Organics box   I was happy and nervous at the same time because Exfoliants can keep rough on the skin but I gave this a go and I was surprised at how smooth this feels. It has natural ingredients like white kaolin, coconut milk powder, essential oils which are calming for the skin and soothing it also has undaria algae which is suppose to stimulate the synthesis of collagen. For directions you mix it with water and it becomes a creamy mask like paste, once you apply it on the skin it dries and you can leave it on for a few minutes and when you wash it off it leaves your skin super soft and I notice that my foundation and makeup goes on so much more smoother, I only use this once or twice a week as too much exfoliating can irritate my skin which I learned from experience, I do think that a good exfoliating mask like this one added on to your skin care routine will make a difference. When I feel like my skin looks dull I tend to try something different that can help brighten and live up my skin, I love skin care products and adding this to make skin care has added a pick me up to my skin. This mask retails for $32 but currently its $28 on their website. Its vegan and cruelty free which is always a plus for me and it has mostly organic ingredients.

So far I have been really happy with all the boxes from Art of Organics they include full size products for a decent price and you get natural beauty products, click on the link if you would like to try it.

Let me know if you tried this or what your favourite exfoliating product is.

Art of Organics box!

I received my first Arts of Organics box today! I have heard so many good things about this subscription box that I was really excited to get mine, The products are natural, toxic free and what I love most about these subscription boxes is that you get to try different brands that you have never heard of specially when you are trying to try out more natural products. This box is $38 and you get 2-4 full size products and you can cancel at anytime. I'm really excited for the Bronzing powder cant wait to try it! The box comes with a neat card that talks about each product and how to use it, which is neat because not all beauty boxes do that and its very detailed as well. I love the packaging and the way that its presented it looks very clean and cute, definitely what I love, I have tried other natural beauty boxes and this one by far has the cutest packaging. I'm going to continue my subscription I do think that its worth it and I'm looking forward to the future boxes. Now I'm off to try all the products!

P.s when you sign up on their website you get a 10% off code
